High School Student Council Meeting September 29th, 2009
High School Student Council Meeting Tuesday 29th , 2009
Meeting Time and Day
We will normally meet on Fridays at 2:30 in Mr. Hershberger´s room.
Halloween
-Haunted House
Where do we have it?
Music Room- too far away from main attractions
Elementary building
-Disco
Music Room/Cafeteria
-Music Room advantages: Good control over who is entering and/or leaving.
-Cafeteria advantages: It´s a big place that can fit every one
Tickets to pay with:
Try to get the same tickets as the PTA. Sam Ordonez will ask the PTA whether we can share the same tickets.
Other Ideas for Halloween:
Candy grams?
Money left to use: The exact amount isn´t known yet but we have a minimum of 1000 euros.
Couches
Mr. Santos has said that we cannot have couches anymore because of the cats.
Sports Equipment
-2 footballs
-Ping Pong ball, rackets
Ideas:
Have equipment for each grade? Have a separate ball for high schoolers to use.
Concerns:
Security (Who will look after them)
To get a ball, they need to deposit something valuable (cell phone, money…) at the office and if you damage the ball you don´t get it back until you pay?
If somebody loses or pops the ball, they pay for it?
Somebody has to ask whether the Student Council is responsible for paying for new balls if older ones are damaged or lost.
